Built
The Goal
Make my second personal website — colorful and clean. This was very personal to me. I wanted to build something that brings together my love for bright colors, my spirit of building, and a simple appreciation for art. Not just a portfolio. A place that actually feels like me.

Wrote a long PRD — screenshots from sites I loved, colors, effects, typography, layout ideas. Got everything out of my head first.
Generated the landing page illustration using Gemini Nanobanana 2 — I'm actually getting great at image generation.
Built everything else with Claude Code — iterated the UI four or five times until it felt right. Kept pushing until it looked like something I was genuinely proud of.

Top 3 Learnings
I take a long time to conceptualise — but those concepts look beautiful. The slowness is part of the quality.
My experiments actually look better than the fear of building them. Start anyway.
Being an engineer with a design sense makes me a cool creator. That combination is rare and I should lean into it.
Mental Note
Personal reminder
Iterations are great signs of growth. More iteration = more happiness.

Potential Improvements
Make the site as colorful as possible without overwhelming — find that balance between vibrant and breathable.
Build a small space for all my art. I'm a painter. I'm learning storytelling and film. That deserves its own corner.
Create a guide space — everything I've learned about storytelling, distilled and shareable.
